The birth certificate reportedly reveals his full name as Felix Chang Hong Grant. Felix is the Latin word for lucky and Chang in Chinese means long-lasting.
Grant ?tweeted? the news on Saturday afternoon, just minutes after being contacted by journalists who had found out about the birth.
?In answer to some journos. Am thrilled my daughter now has a brother,? he wrote.
?Adore them both to an uncool degree. They have a fab mum.? Around three hours later, he added: ?And to be crystal clear. I am the Daddy.?
Grant is understood to have met Miss Hong, who lists her occupation as ?housewife?, at a wine bar in Chelsea, west London, in 2008, although the pair were not photographed together until January 2011.
They separated shortly after Miss Hong fell pregnant with their first child and a statement released after Tabitha?s birth described their relationship as ?fleeting?.
However, Grant admitted he was delighted with the news and subsequently installed Miss Hong in a ?1.2 million house in Fulham, west London.
Since then, the Love Actually star has become one of the most vociferous opponents of the popular press.
He claimed that Miss Hong had been subjected to ?harassing and frightening? behaviour by reporters in the days after their daughter?s birth and she later won an injunction that prevented them from pursuing her.
The pair are believed to have briefly reunited last year, when Miss Hing fell pregnant again, although it is not known whether their second child was planned.
The couple are not believed to live together.
